I've already mentioned my love for long walks around the seawall. And I think I love them at this quiet time of day and year most of all.

That sky!

So lovely to see that winter's got a quiet beauty of its own where you are.

Almost as beautiful as your Australian skies :-).

Yes, I like this kind of winter...without snow.

The photo with the moon is breath-takingly lovely!

These are gorgeous photos Elaine. I particularly like the one with the individual leaf because of the way the light flares complement the leaf colour.

Are they all handheld?

Hello, Diana. Nice to meet you. I visited the first page of posts on your lovely blog -- I see you live in Australia and your garden is flourishing. Beautiful!

Thank you, Kateri. I'd forgotten there was going to be a full moon that evening. I was walking home over the bridge, noticed a photographer setting up her tripod, turned around, and there was the glorious moon, rising above False Creek.

Thank you, Sophie. Yes, the photos are hand-held. I take nearly all my photos during walks with Piper so carrying a tripod wouldn't be practical. I'm working on identifying the shrub in the last photo -- it has lovely red bark.
