Gifts of autumn: #2. Brilliant colour

Autumn colour at Stanley Park

"Delicious autumn!   My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."

 ~ George Eliot

I have had some 'delicious' experiences - I have not known anyone else who used this word to describe something that was not a 'food' experience. I like this poem, in combination with your photography. Poetry - using as few words as possible to describe as much as possible. :-)

Hello, Diana. I think "delicious" is a fabulous adjective & can & should be used in many non-food contexts. I very much like your succinct definition of poetry. It resonates with me!
