At the community garden

As I mentioned earlier this week, I'm trying the new Squarespace 6 platform.

If you're interested and have a few moments (the posts are short), you're welcome to pop over to the "summer home" and read about the community garden.

Here are the direct links:

At the community garden: good neighbours

At the community garden: lavender & more

At the community garden: inviting the pollinators

As always, I welcome all comments and feedback. And it's ok to be a silent reader, too :-).

Hi Elaine,

I've had a look round your 'summer home' and it's very beautiful once you're into the content, especially with your latest community garden pics. I'm very at home here and know my way round but over there it might be nice to have a bit more obvious a signpost to where the updated content is for new visitors over there. Maybe I'm just being slow - it does make sense now that I know it is under journal! I was looking for a blog heading

Hi, Sophie. Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm off now to change "journal" to "blog". To be honest, I've had a lot of challenges setting up the new site & I'm really not sure I will continue to post there. I lost every one of my drafts and published posts at least twice!

However, version 6.0 is great for quick clippings -- maybe I will just use it like a Tumblr blog.

Just had a look - "blog" isn't as creative as journal but I think it just makes sense.

How frustrating re losing all those posts. Will be interested to hear what you decide come September!

You are absolutely right, Sophie, it does make more sense. Your feedback was so helpful. I'm also going to try a different template that makes navigation as simple and clear as possible.

Thank you, again, for taking time to help me with this summer project. At this time, I'm pretty certain I'll be staying with version 5.0 for the long-term.
