"They're super foods"*

While I was writing the draft of this post, I realized that despite the name of my blog, neither greens nor berries have yet been a topic of a post. Here is a feature article from the online version of the Nutrition Action Healthletter on how eating leafy greens benefits our eyes, bones, brains and other body parts' longevity and integrity:

The Greens Party

(*Tufts University researcher, Katherine Tucker, referring to leafy green vegetables in the linked article.)

Thank you, Gillian. I fixed the photo. Some of the HTML code was erased -- probably my error in cutting and pasting.

Still no photo; it's the mesclun mix that is missing. The other is a link, which works.

Hi, Gillian. I have a photo on my page, even when I'm not logged in and use different browsers and computers. I wonder if you need to refresh your page or clear your cache?

Great read! I have come to really enjoy dark leefy greens as an adult (and vegetarian)! Makes me sad for all those years I missed out on the health benefits, but maybe I can catch up in my later years!

I'm off to eat a nice Caprese salad!
