Eggplant and peppers

Eggplant flower

Eggplant buds and flowers, July 17th, 2009.

Eggplant

I purchased a 4-inch (10 cm) transplant in early June and grew it and a mystery pepper plant in a 14-inch (36 cm) container on my balcony.

Eggplant and two peppers harvested on September 22nd.

They look lovely. It's especially interesting to see the dates, since I've never thought to record the time from flower to harvest before. How did you eat them?

Hello Arwen. I made a big batch of ratatouille a couple of weeks ago and froze some of it. I think when I reheat a portion for dinner, I will add these fresh vegetables. I didn't show the scale but the eggplant is only about 12 cm long.
