Thanks for your support, Tess. You were one of the first people to comment on the previous version of this blog and I appreciated your words so much.

This is lovely news Elaine, and much deserved. You've posted lots of high quality content this year, and admirably regularly too

Thank you, friends!

Gardening has given me so many gifts, beyond the flowers & food, not the least of which is developing lovely relationships with kindred spirits like you, Meighan and Sophie.

Eating, gardening, even writing is better (at least for me) when done as part of a community. And -- here's an "Aha" moment coming up -- I suppose that's exactly why this nomination is such an honour. I believe in the value of positive blogging. It's brought only good things and the best people into my life.

Elaine, so many congratulations to you. I've had my head buried in books, cooking and writing, so I completely missed your post. I have to say the nomination is *very* well deserved. As Sophie says you've posted some really interesting, high quality and also beautiful material this year.

Thank you, Kathryn for those lovely words! Your support and friendship mean so much to me. I hope all your projects are going well. I had a sense, from some of your recent tweets, that you've been very busy.

If I haven't said so already now is a good time to do so: I'm inspired by your and Sophie's blogs. They set the standards for food and nutrition sites -- timely, well-researched, interesting, enjoyable to read and easy to understand, and well designed. Your first comments on Greens & Berries (I think that would be about two years ago) encouraged me to keep blogging. And your and Lucy's "An Honest Kitchen" has inspired many posts.

So thank you for your influence on Greens & Berries. It's been very good.
