Thank you. Love your blog. I'll be following your winter sowing experiences.

Hi Elaine
Lovely shot. Nice to see you are in bloom already on the coast. I was wondering if you have ever purchased seeds from Salt Spring Island Seeds? Do you have a favourite mail order for seeds or do you just pick them up locally?

Hello, Kim, and thank you. Nice to hear from you. Yes, the hellebores are in full bloom and early bulbs are poking through the soil.

I actually do plan to order from Salt Spring Island Seeds -- my first time. I'm currently working on my list. I think I probably also will join the Seed and Plant Sanctuary.

I've also put in a small order with Cubit's. And every year I buy West Coast Seeds & Renee's Garden, too, but usually from the local stores. I'm going to order some by mail, though, so I can get them early/before they sell out.

What pretty little flowers. They look both waxy and delicate.

I agree, Kateri, you've described this flower well.
