Snow Food

298/365

It's snowing.

I've just come in from the early morning Westie walk, my feet are still cold, and to warm myself up I'm dreaming of Sophie's breakfast quinoa, Vincci's risotto, Kathryn's spiced salad (& a picnic next spring), Kelly's latest recipe (Moroccan Spinach and Chickpeas), and Lucy's...well any of Lucy's recipes or photos will nourish me.

What are your favourite cold weather foods?

I can't believe you've had snow already. We've had a few sprinkles in England too, thought not where I live (yet)

What a lovely selection of warming links, and I love your greens and berries winter coat - the grey and red go really well

Hello, Sophie. I hope you've recovered from your jet lag. Yes, I -- actually everyone in the Vancouver area -- was unhappily surprised by the early snowfall. Most of it has melted now. It's raining today and the temperature is mild, about 7 degrees Celsius.

What a lovely way to describe the blog's colour scheme. Yes, that's how I'll think of it -- as a winter coat. Thanks for that.

Also, I'm going to link to another one of your recipes that makes me feel warm and cozy:
Roasted Vegetables - make them your salad for winter. Excellent suggestion.
